What factory is this SOSF?

I purchased this m2m 4yrs ago, and he wasn’t sure of the factory. It has a 2813 movement, which I’ve since replaced with one from Offrei.

It came with a rather stiff “silicone” logo strap, but no logo on the buckle. The bracelet that’s currently on it was also m2m, but I had to drill the SEL holes wider and slightly oblong to fit the lug holes which were slightly offset in alignment.

If anyone has any ideas as to what factory this may have originated from, I’d love to know! My hope is to replace the dial with a color that’s more accurate to gen.

I don't think HFac ever made a sosf with a 2813, and the 45 on the bezel tab also looks way off. I think it might be from some no name factory.

Aero strap is my favorite I highly recommend picking one up if you can get at a discount. I paid 130 for a a Gen with Gen Tank it is very very comfortable.

It doesn’t really look that bad. You’d be better off selling it M2M and buying what you want, rather than continuing to mod this one. H-Facs with Swiss ETAs aren’t *that* expensive.

AFAIK H-fac made a 2813 version, too. And they made another cheaper version with this so called POS movement. And this not centered digits on the tabs is a common flaw on H-fac Steelfish.
But what really is not H-fac like is the full polished case. The lugs should be circular brushed on the top. And the „10“ flaw on the rehaut is not present. Looks like gen. H-facs digits of the „10“ have got a gap whis is bigger than gen.

Maybe this is a H-fac V1 with missing AR on the crystal. The V2 is more common and better.

Thanks so much for the reply and info, it’s so hard recently to find thorough info on a rep that’s not super-common, not in high demand, and is a few years old. As is with most items of hobby and passion these days, people are far more interested in the newest, under the belief that new must somehow always be better...my 1972 Honda CB750 begs to differ!!! Lol

In reference to your comment regarding the polished case, that is of my own doing. I didn’t favor the brushed top surface of the case and bracelet, and had only seen one other polished example which was a used gen up for sale, so I liked the rarity and personalization it gave my simple Steely. The owner/seller had payed to have it “custom polished” as it was listed...I did mine with simple Cape Cod cloth.

I haven’t seen “H-fac” mentioned anywhere on the forum in years, so I assume they’re either out of business or, like so many others, have changed their name. Out of curiosity, do you have any idea what became of “H-fac”? For that matter, do you know of a list anywhere that shows those of us who aren’t daily or even weekly forum participants what current factory names went by previously?

Again, thanks for the info. When I do decide to part with it, which I feel may be coming soon, knowing what factory it came from is crucial information, and would mean the difference between listing it for next to nothing, or actually fetching a sum which could take a bit of the bite out of the cost of my next piece.

Unfortunately H-fac got raided some years ago. They are no longer in business.
