I think that is a kind of accreditation about the gold alloy that has been used.
It's common on the back of fine jewelry.

ps; St'e for "Sterling", then production authority and last; place of origin.

Looks like a hall mark of some sort..I've not looked at the halls marks on gold subs in ages so maybe I've seen this before.

@smoke these are all over the new Noob DD cases and other PM models. They have got clearer and more crisp, but OP these are hallmarks for PM models.

Have not seen them on the standard SS models.
