What do you think of the jubilee bracelet?

One of my least favorite look used to be the datejust with the jubilee (presidential is my fav) bracelet. The reason I dislike the jubilee is because I usually see it being associated with older gentlemen who are husky/over weight business men and so on.....mainly I see them on older asian men wearing the two tone black and gold combo with jubilee.

Now, lately I been having a change of mind over this. I been eyeing it for my next purchase.

So the question is, can a young guy in his late twenty wear this watch? is it not a cool factor watch for the casual look for younger guys? Is it only allowed with business suits and etc?

Worn with a suit it looks so much better on a rolex date/day date etc. It also works casual, formal and sporty.

PS - I have friends in the mid 20's with pres bracelet. Winning !

Well, I'm 27 and wear a Jubilee on my 1603 franken DJ. I've worn it with a t-shirt and jeans and it suited me just fine, but to each his own...

I have a great gold sunburst dial datejust with the jubilee, only problem is the sides of the links aren't plated. Need to find a new bracelet that's plated all over to fit it before I can wear it. It's a pretty nice look, but the President is always first class!

I like both, but the President doesn't have as much adjustability for fit, and the hidden clasp can be a pain to use.
Jubilee is a very comfortable bracelet.
Then again, I am a heavy middle-aged business man with a gen black face two tone DJ on two tone Jubilee.

I've even put a jubilee style on my vintage Seiko.

The Jubilee band is a classic. I've had two SSDJ's with the Jubilee and one with the Oyster band; the Oyster comes off as more rugged and sporting, but the Jubilee is a timeless design whose elegance stands on its own... It looks really good in all-stainless too, where the multiple links create a smart, even-looking texture. It's great. But as someone else said, go with your gut feeling - if you dig the way it looks, it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks...

Just follow Clint's and Tom's lead. The SS/YG Datejust with the jubilee bracelet is, easily, the most recognizable watch on the planet. Not too much...not to little.

A vintage 1675 GMT on a jubilee is my next purchase. Bracelets arent expensive. Go both ways for a change of pace.

IMO, although they look nice, Presidential rep bracelets suck. After wearing for a while the clasp pieces always hang out the side and continually need to be re-shaped or re-bent so the clasp will hold.

Jubilee looks awesome in my opinion. It is just a little more fragile than the oyster.
