Shopping around for a replacement for the frankly awful rep strap on my new 212.

Just come across this on the Europelli website. Not sure about the B&R style fitting but I thought I'd throw it open to the public before I pulled the trigger. It's $70 so not bad. Most other carbons are around $50 (Bob, Don, Panatime)

Let me know what you think.

looks pretty cool. i actually prefer the tapered strap for comfort, although i like the 24/24 look better. by the way, nice pam too!

OK, I'll be the lone voice of dissent. That looks more like a pilot strap to me. I like the strap, just not on a PAM. But it's your watch, so if you're digging it that's all that matters. Post pics when you get it on the watch, maybe that'll change my mind.

Hooligan, thats exactly what I wanted to hear - a balanced argument.

I'm just not sure.

The 212 as has been mentioned before on the forum is a bit of hot potato strap wise.

The rep strap should be cut off immediately and burned, but what to put on instead. I personally am not keen on black straps so am waiting for something really special in vintage brown leather to come up for sale second hand. Until then though I need a filler and I thought that as the original comes on a carbon fibre (and not a special one -just been to the AD) I should look at carbon.

I suppose I should be grateful that today this is the only problem and dilemma I have.

Have a great weekend.

Tom.

Good looking and cheap to boot. It should fill the void until you find "the" strap.
