The bad attempt at vintagizing it ends up with the lume looking like someone wiped their butt with it. I think it looks horrible. the case and bracelet are almost pristine, further making it look just wrong and unbelievable.

No problem! It just looks bad. Read up on vintagizing. There is a true art to it. @yodog is an expert in this area and puts out some truly beautiful work.
