What Could I Use This AliEx Case For?

Every once in awhile you come across a product that you fall in love with. This watch I built from an AliEx case is my example. This was an "attempt" at a Seikomod Pussy Galore, at least my take on it. Not really intended to be correct by any means - just a simple homage. But this case, Rmalti is the brand, I love it. It's not period correct in that it's got solid end links and a deployment clasp, but the bracelet alone is one of the nicest I've come across in genuine watches or otherwise. I'd love to do something cooler with it than this build. But what?

12.5mm thick

I can't think of anything this would be a close rep to, but I like the case so much I may just repurpose it anyway. I've got some rep 1675 dials but they're 27.3mm or whatever Raffles sells. Could swap out the bezel insert easily as it's 38x30.5 to something else. I'm just here for ideas really.

The 6538 would be possible but it would require some heavy reshaping of the lugs IMO at least. You would also need to test your dial options for fit.

agree if he is shooting for a rep
If the goal is a Seiko branded homage, it's much easier to execute

I'd rather take it more toward a rep than its current Seiko homage form, but I'm not necessarily going for balls accurate since nothing about this case is period correct. K1 glass, uni bezel, etc.

This is the case you are talking about, it has many possibilities.
The first thing is to get a good crystal, sternkreuz hw306 or Sternkreuz XS303.472.

a good insert (unfortunately this one doesn't work for me but I have gone for a Gen one from eBay), and a good dial, in my case I will use Helenarou but there are very good ones (Viet).

The only "but" to this case is that the holes of the lugs are too close to the end, that limits in the future to use strap, etc...

In my case I have drilled and put an 8 mm Athaya crown, but if you accept my advice, mount a 6536, a watch that was only in production for one year, Helenarou and others make custom dials.

Just read up on the 6536. This might be about perfect for that build as it appears pretty much anything goes with regards to that reference! Thanks for the tip.

i have the same case off ALi-X. After I drilled and cut the threads for the Athaya 8mm crown I noticed on the inside the hole goes right through the Threads for the caseback. I’ll have to clean that up and hope the caseback threads on ok. Not a bad case to start with.
