What about a new version of the Fifty Fathoms?

Not sure how popular the BP FF is, certainly compared to Rolex, AP Panerai, etc. we are lovers of a small niche brand. Even with the genuine, pretty much the same, there is a Rolex AD on practically every street corner in every large city, and at least one in every small city/large town. BP AD's on the other hand , only a large handful in the entire USA.

I Suppose because of their limited appeal, upgrades and improvements have not been forthcoming. The BP FF Black dial / S/S version is now on V2 (V3 is a definite downgraded lite version) the RG and Blue dial versions AFA I know have never been upgraded. What's worse , several dealers are listing everything as "out of stock".

So, my question has anyone in the BP fraternity gotten any information as to any plans by the makers to release another possibly upgraded version?
I went to the puretime dealers page and Angus (puretime) started a thread "Rep of the year 2017. He was touting the new Richard Mille Reps that are under development. Of course guys started posting what they wanted to see in 2017. I asked him if there was a chance that the old V1 BP FF would be reintroduced, as the V2 was a step backward, or were the manufacturers working on something new? You can find the entire thread here:
https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/replica-of-the-year-2017.362356/

Here is my question to Angus:
Wish they would go back and remake the BP Fifty Fathoms V1 !! Also a lot of the BP boys are really craving a good bracelet option for the FF.
Thanks and we appreciate your help and updates

And his answer:
Yes we are also working on a 1:1 Super Rep BPFF

Now where they are, or if this is just speculation, I don't know. I do remember reading here that Angus has a lot of input with noob, and they are the ones who have produced the BP FF, so possibly something good is in the works. Sorry for you guys who are looking for a good rep bracelet, he didn't mention that in his thread.

So hopefully, we who were not fortunate enough to get a V1 back when they were available, still can hold out some hope. I would jump on the chance to buy a V1 M2M, but if that isn't possible, I can still hold out hope that at some point another good version will be available.

I like the blue fifty fathoms - I am wondering why the listings on these reps show such high prices. Why are these reps upwards of $450?

I read J12 is going to make a Fifty Fathoms blue. But again it could be all rumors.

Personally I don't care what factory makes the rep. As long as it's accurate and they have a bracelet option too.

That's and interesting question. Not sure if there is a good reason. I believe that while the watch looks pretty simple, it may be more complex than it looks, dial, case, finish, etc.
Another factor may be number based. The manufacturers to stay in business have to have a pretty good feel for a watches popularity. They realize that a niche brand like BP Is not going to be as popular overall as Rolex, Panerai, Omega and other "name" brands. From this they can make a determination as to how many watches they can build and sell. So, if they determine that a top end Rolex 116610 rep, for instance, will sell 10,000 watches over its lifespan, they can base the price on selling that number. Let's say they calculate the BP FF Blue will sell 1,000 watches. Based on volume, the Rolex may cost significantly less than the BP FF per unit. This would be reflected in the final price. These numbers are for illustrative use only, I have no idea as to what the numbers are, but I do believe that far more watches of the popular brands are built. So complexity and numbers probably are the biggest factors in determining the final price.
