Went to Shenzhen and bought a PAM441 - is this a VSF?

Hi all,

New member here. I'm a longtime collector of watches (about 20 years) and own 15-20 Gen watches from various brands Breitling, VC, IWC, AP etc.
I've been into watches and active on other Gen forums for a long time.

Just happened to be on a trip to Shenzhen and saw a couple of watches in the 羅湖商業城 and was really impressed with the quality of some.
Some were not great, but this IWC 3717/3777? and PAM441 were quite outstanding.

I ended up buying the PAM441, probably overpaid quite a fair bit at $550USD - but it piqued my interest in some other reps.

Let me know your thoughts, this is my PAM441! Is it from one of the better/famous factories?

That does look good. I have never seen this particular model from a rep though here.

VS did make this. I think it looks like VS based on the movement P9001 clone.

Evaluate for yourself comparing to Steve's pictures :

Thank you for your reply!

Indeed! I've looked at the photos, did some comparisons while holding the watch in my hand and it does look like it is identical to the watch he has on the listing. Except mine is serial 600/1500 and his shows 888/1500 (not sure if this actually changes when watches are sent out from the factory).

Serial changes.

You got lucky this time, welcome to the rep game. $550 not terrible but a little pricey, but you did well for your first rep.

Introduce yourself in the new members section, if you plan to stick around, research and read guides (you can read my guide in my signature).

Welcome to RWI and the rep game.

Just a bit of a silly question, is VS the same as VSF factory?
VS/VSF is the same, VS-Factory is abbreviated to VSF.

The link I posted, you saw it's SBF, actually, this is a VSF offshoot, but it's still VSF. VSF/SBF are basically the same factory.

Confusing but yeah.

Thank you very much for the help, introduction and warm welcome.
I've been reading up some of the guides and yes definitely plan on sticking around!

I've actually found Steve separately on other forums, and am already in contact with him (on Telegram).
Will be trawling the forums for more info and happy to get on this journey!

This was the IWC I spotted in the mall, was quite impressed with the quality.
Only issue was I the crown couldn't get locked in properly to the date / time function and was a bit iffy.

It turned me off and I moved back to the 441 which was working mechanically perfectly, and also looked really spot on.
I have spent 20 years looking at Gen watches so I have a good idea of how it should look (though not down to all the nitty gritty, minute details).
