Went on a bit of a bender this week! O.o

I think I may have over-done it a bit this week??? I kinda got "Rep-Happy" and went on a bit of a bender! I still have a GEORGEOUS 187 on it's way from Lay....but this is what I've gotten so far this week!

I started off picking up a nice 112 with some basic mods; a movement installed and serviced by Rex at RG, nice CG, etc... This is the one that I will be installing teh high CP I have on, and superluming the dial and hands. (I should be posting a compro soon also, as I ordered lume from 3 *so far* of the lume companies that people most talk about here on the boards...Noctiluma, Glow Inc, and Ofrei)

Next came a beautiful Pam 253 regatta chrono flyback on what has got to be the softest rubber I have ever felt!!! running on a a7750 that is being serviced as we speak...

Of course I found a nice 111 homage over at Getat's page, and he added the usual custom touches for my wife; blue hands and superlume...

Then I found another 112... only this time is was decked out, DSN dial and hands, serviced swiss? movement, modded CG, and a T48 crown, sapphire w/ no AR, high cp, etc... just about perfect!!!
*Made that Baeball strap myself... Was able to get two nice one's out of an old Rawlings glove... just a remarkable look!*

Overall... including the mod parts yet to be installed, the 187 (which is not yet pictured), and teh servicing I am into this lot for a hair under $1200...

actually not that bad IMHO... I will have (x2) 112's that will be nicely modded, a 253 that will last, and a HUGE 187! (and of course the wife has her homage suited to just her specs...lol)

Oh well, so goes the disease! I guess it's Ramen and water for awhile! LOL

Thanks! yeah, the 253 is stunning in person... still thinking if I should attempt to refinish the chrono-second hand in a light blue, or have it sent to someone who has done that mod before??? I am confident installing Pam hands, but am skiddish around ETA and asian auto movement hands (especially teh seconds hand)... They always seem so tiny and delicate. I think that is why I took to Pams in teh first place. They seem bulky, chunky, and beefy!!!

My birthday is a week before christmas. Hopefully my wife will let me have a week like yours in december.

Nice haul! I've been very tempted to do the same. Instead, I made a top 12 list and I'm going to buy 1 a month, on the first day of the month, for the next year. This way each new watch gets guaranteed wrist time.
I'm dying for Oct 1!
