Hi all,

I try to grease the gaskets of my Pam243 but I have a small issue.

Everything was ok for the o-ring.

But after I removed the crown and I can't see any gasket on it...

Is it normal ?
If not, where can I buy a new gasket for this 243 please ?

Thx.

I can't tell if it's just shadowing or not. But that looks correct. The crown has a flat gasket at the base and then there should also be an o-ring on the inside of the tube.

Don't forget to also check the hev and seal it if necessary.

Thx a lot for your answer.
So I will put some grease at the base.
For the HE, I will use epoxy.
Movement is not to hard to remove and replace on this Pam243 ?
Thx again.

Movement is easy to remove. While in the winding position push down on the release button very slightly while gently pulling at the Crown to remove the stem. Then unscrew the three movement clamp screws and remove the clamps, turn the watch over gently and the movement should drop out. There are many more detailed guides that I'd advise you read before giving it go first.

Hi, is there more info on the specific Hev - valve for the 243?

Generally speaking (not specific for this PAM-model) often the caseset is not even drilled trough, others the valve just functions normally (not letting water in).
If it was me I´d do the other steps and than have a wp-test performed - before going to the lengths of removing movement and epoxing the He-valve. You still
might have leaks around the crystal etc. Just saying (I did not research the 243 and don´t have info on it, but I´ve seen several in the water)

Is that stem straight/bent or is it the angle of the pic?

Thx gentlemen.
You are right, I will continue to read guides and will perform a WP test before epoxing the HE valve.

Thx again.
Oh and yes, it is the angle, the stern is not bend, hopefully :)

lol

Just realised, you already have the stem out, so the hard bit of removing the movement is done. If you've got that far then anything you need to do to ensure it's waterproof should be no problem to you.

Btw, as you have the case back off you should just be able to see if the HV does come through the case.

When looking inside the case, you should be able to just about see the back of the He valve. This may give you some idea of what you are working with, without having to remove the movement.

If I remember correctly, my old H Factory 243 you could see the back of the he valve inside the case. Though I never got as far as finding out if it was sealed.

Ok I get it :)

Yes I saw the HV back without removing the movement but I think it will be difficult to epoxing the whole HV without removing the movement.

I will try again asap.

Thx again.

You are right, you won't be able to epoxy it without removing the movement. I'd take the he valve apart first and see how it is constructed before epoxing. You may find it doesn't need to be done.

When You are finished please share the results. The 243 (or the Bronzo) are on my longterm wishlist:) Doesn´t have to be this year or next, but someday....

i waterproofed and regulated my 234 Noob V2 lately and it was such an easy job, but... I totally forgot that there is a HEV... did nogthing to that. Anyway I've been swimming and snorkeling with it many times after that without problems of any kind, so I'm going to leave it as it is. BTW watch runs dead on now if I just keep it crown down at night.
