Hi,

I own a gen old Navitimer and I want to buy a rep (BREITLING Navitimer Serie Speciale LE, Asian 7750) only for swimming.
Do you think that there will be any problem with water resistance.
It 'll get wet quite often...

Thank you,

Eleley

I forgot to say that the watch is water resistant, according to the seller.

There should be no problems with water resistance as long as you keep it away from water !

if the loose as usual rotating bezel is water resistant i would be highly surprised. there is a o-ring under it but it is there more to keep the dust out than water. i take mine off to wash my hands. lol 8)

if i am not mistaken a gen navi is only water resistant to 3 bar. it is a pilots watch and if a pilot is in water he has more trouble than watch getting wet. lol 8)

According to one rep site I came across on the net, the definition of "Water Resistant" is "capable of withstanding a 10 yard dash through a (very) slight drizzle".

Maybe "Water Repellant" would be a better term, meaning "this watch must be repelled away from any water in the vicinity".
