As a general rule - do not expect any rep watch to be waterproof out of the box from the dealers. They will all claim that the watch is water proof or water resistance - but this may or may not be true and it is a gamble of $200-500 to risk it.
You best bet is to buy whatever watch you want - take it to a local watch smith and have it tested. Have them re-grease all of the seals and then test for water resistance.
Set, i admire your courage my friend. But i think you may be one of the lucky ones who got a well greased watch. Many members have not been so lucky and wind up with a ruined movement. Great picture though!
