So I know that there is a small wrist thread on here, but i'm looking for watches for a smaller wrist. My wrist is 6 inches and it would be great to know what watches would fit properly. For example, how would the aquanaut or the nautilus look? I have ruled out the Santos 100 and any AP ROO, they would look beastly. Anyways i look forward to your answers,
cheers

Since this is a highly subjective request for opinion I recommend you check the other forums for their Skinny Wrist Club threads too, because some forum threads are more active than others. I think Repgeek iirc has a lot of postings with pics of skinny 6" wrists but try RWG.cc and rwgforum.net -just search Skinny Wrist Club or my name

Cheers

You can't go far wrong with a Rolex Datejust...

As you have found, there isn't much of a selection in mid-sized watches. Both reps and Gens seem to be focused on who can make the larget pam-a-like. There seem to be dozens of companies that make Sub homages; except, all of them think that their creative and unique contribution is that they will make it bigger.

You mighy look at some of the asian market Seiko and Citizen. As far as reps go, there really isn't much that isn't hugh or just plain bad reps. I went with a Rolex 1675 Catrel GMT. There are also a small number of under 40mm (my limit) IWC reps.

If you are a bit more spicific about what you are looking for people can be more help. In dress watches the quartz Cartier Ballon is actually a decent looking rep. Give more information than just wrist size.

As far as those pictures in the "skinny wrist club" thread. I will say it, most of those look just plain silly. They look like some kid wearing a watch that is just too big for them. . . possibly they have fond memories of borrowing their fathers watch. . . noting wrong with that; but, it looks a bit silly.

Cartier Santos 100 mid size are good and plenty to choose from. Good wrist presence on a small wrist

You would be on pretty safe ground with most of the Rolex range, except for the DSSD and YM2 which both wear quite large.

Dress watches are covered by the Datejust and Daydate, sports/tool watches by the Submariner (especially some of the vintage 38mm cased models), the Milgauss sits somewhere between the two.

That still leaves you Daytona, YM1, Cellini, Air King, Exp 1&2, GMT 1&2 - all 40mm and under.

I have a 5.7inch wrist (probably smallest here). I have/had these and they fit my wrist:
1) all 41mm AP RO
2) all 42mm AP ROO
3) 44mm Pam such as the 005, 111 and 380
4) all 40mm Rolex (including sub c, gmt II, and daytona)
5) 42mm iwc such as the Portuguese 7 days

More things to come.

Skinny wrist thread. Check that out. Anything up to 42mm is doable. I've done a 44mm Pam and a 45mm Rad too. My preference now is the 36mm dj lineup.

Holy necrothread, Batman. The OP is three years old.

Case size and lug design have to be considered. I have flipped 40mm watches with long, flat lugs. My wrist measures 6.75".
