Watch strap orientation(right or wrong)

Hello I have searched a little and no real results. Is there a "correct" orientation? I am left handed but have always wore watches on my left wrist. In pictures of watches off the wrist I think the buckle strap being at 12 o'clock looks better, however on the wrist I seem to prefer the buckle strap at 6 o'clock, looks cleaner to me with the tag inside. Am I doing it wrong because most every picture I see, I am the minority. Thanks

Right handed, left wearer here. I accidentally attached a new strap to one of my watches with the buckle at 6, but turns out I actually like it, so I left it that way. It's a thick strap, and I find it easier to thread the end through both the keepers.

Buckle @ 6 for me. It may give you a weird feeling at first but the outer side of your wrist has a cleaner look with the longer side @ 12.

I have found I like the buckle @ 6 as well for the same reason you mentioned

I'm right handed and wear watches on my left and with buckle at 12 too. However, I like the sound of switching it around...maybe I'm gonna give that a shot.

tail of the strap when done up should be on the outside of the wrist...so he buckle would be on the "12" side of the watch.
