Just purchased from Trusty/Andrew Datejust 36 with new swiss eta 2836-2
Watch looks great
But here's the problem wind watch about 40 turns
First 24 hours very accurate -2 seconds
Second 24 hours -15 seconds
Third day losing 3 seconds every hour.
I have repeated this sequence several times watch always slow down dramatically on
the third day.
I wear the watch all day, take it off at night.
Any help would be appreciated.
Not sure what my options are, I paid with paypal funded with credit card.

So you wear the watch all day after winding. When do you take it off? How active are you? I have many watches with clone 2836 and have no issues.

I would say you could get the movement regulated, as that might solve all your problems.

Maybe the rotor is stuck and not winding properly? Maybe take the case back off and see if the rotor is spinning freely.

I don't think you have any options regarding paypal and your credit card.

You got the watch you paid for, it is quite common for rep movements to need service right away, you could have issues with the movement that could be fixed esaily.

Can you post any pictures?

@Raddave is more of an expert with movements, maybe he can chime in and give you some more advice on what to do. Good luck.

Find yourself a friendly Watchsmith and have him regulate your watch if you don't comfortable with the situation mate.

When you wake up in the morning, do a full wind each day and your watch that is 1/20th of the gen price is only off 2 seconds a day! That is a great watch!

I doubt this is a regulation issue, since it keeps perfect time first 24 hours when fully wound.

Well.. My both my A2836 and ETA2836 (an eterna movt) is dropping their stability for keeping time (don't know how many seconds to be exactly) when their about to ran out it's power (unsed), but if I use them every day (given them a fully wound before use), they were like +2 second a day.

See if the auto mech doing it's job mate, it could be the auto mechanisms doesn't do it's job properly.

Swiss ETA's used to be the gold standard of replicas back in the day when the Asian counterparts sucked.

However now the Swiss ETA is deemed to be on par (sometimes even less reliable than the Asian clone) because they use 2nd hand parts in the Swiss and brand new ones in the Asian.

Think of it this way, a brand new Alfa Romeo is probably going to be more reliable than a 200k Toyota Hilux. - Brand new, that's an other story

It's not worth the extra dough!

+1

I would contact Andrew and inform him , hes really a decent guy, but hes not a RWI approved TD so the forum will not assist you .

BUT if you like the watch, id suggest you just have it serviced, then it will be as you like :)

Automatic watches can run faster or slower depending on which side you put them down on when you take them off also there is apps for your phone that you can use to help regulate the watch like kello it's actually pretty easy to do it yourself or just be happy with what you have
