@notdiglet_ I have seen people take one of three directions with boxes. Each has their own drawbacks and benefits.
1. Tactical/Pelican Cases. This is a great option for a few reasons. They are extremely customizable, relatively cheap, and provide stellar protection for your pieces. The drawbacks of course are that you dont get any luxury factor or something to show off in pictures that people will drool at. I personally think the benefits far outweigh the cons.
2. Luxury Brands. A lot of people love to go with a watch box from LV, Smythson, Goyard, etc. These are beautiful and definitely hold some status. Fakes are also fairly easy to locate although quality of materials and construction might be a bit dodgy. The drawbacks of these are the fact that they dont offer a ton of customization and are quite generic in the sense that many others have this sort of thing.
3. Generic Amazon, Ebay, Etsy. These boxes are varied in construction and materials and can range from very cheap to wildly expensive. I would encourage anyone going this route to work with a trusted maker and find something special. The sky is the limit here and many can build you whatever you would like
Best of luck and I look forward to the discussion...
