To all women carrying leather purses,(and men carrying "man purses." Even if it was a gift.. LOL) this could happen to you.
Found another leather purse: Fossil.
The leather from the hand straps (darker leather) are going to make awesome vintage straps.
Ordering GPF Buckles and needing to get more waxed thread. Will post finished straps soon.
PLEASE understand I'm a noob at making straps.. just so excited. I hope this inspires others to join in the fun. Can't make a mistake. Each strap is a learning experience.

Made 4- 85mmX160mm straps out of this purse.
The lighter colored strap is made out of the same material. I removed the color with Acidtone. Also.. Each strap is a learning experience... I stripped the thread out of the burgandy straps and replaced it with thicker waxed thread as shown on the middle strap. AHHHH more better.

I too am going to start making straps soon. have pretty much all the tools and just
got in some nice polished stingray and suede shark and gator. seems to be a very fun
and hands on addition to rep collecting.

None of mine are for sale.. I'm a Financial Planner by trade. Just having fun and hoping to inspire others to step out of the box and "go for it." I'm sure I'm not the only REP fan inspired by our Trusted Strap Makers.

Wow that seems like such a great idea. Only one problem. If I ever took one of my wifes purses and cut the straps off of it she would cut both of my hands off. I would than be doing wrist shots with my watches wrapped around my you know what LOL

Bought the first purse at a local second hand store for $10.00. The Fossil purse, I found. Yep found. My wife and I were walking our Wolf yesterday and found it a few feet back in the woods.
All of the personal affects were gone.. I think we all know what happened...

BTW.. if your wife had to cut off your hands.. I wonder if one of my 85mmX160mm straps would fit? I'll loan you one.. On second thought.. after you wear it.. you'd have to keep it.:facepalm:
