My watch was received by RWR 3/4/17 received few emails describing issue with removing crown
Tried to email several times since last email (over 2 months ago) but no response.
I d not know if f I should ask them to send watch back or try waiting a little longer
Any advice would be appreciated

Its not easy to source parts for these reps almost impossible without a spare movement. Maybe he is waiting for parts

I've heard plus and minus on them. They are in Chicago suburbs, but don't want to do drop offs. Too bad as I would have liked a local source which did not require me to mail the pieces in. Five months of no response is in poor form. You could try a generic inquiry about another watch issue from a different email address and see if there is a response?

Here is direct quote from their website
" If you are the type of person that needs to micromanage your repair request, please wait until our new system is up and running before submitting a service request. Repeated requests for status will result in your watch being pulled from our service queue and returned to you. Thank you - RWR"

Not sure that's a great idea. You are informing them that your counterfeit watch is at a counterfeit repair facility. Might cause you some issues if you encounter a stickler for the law. Food for thought.

According to their website, as of May 1, the estimated turn around time is 6-8 weeks, depending on parts availability. What were they repairing for you (movement, watch, etc)?

I would stick to this forum for anyone to do work on your watch. I do a ton of repairs, rebuilds, and restorations...for myself and family...I bet I have near 30 watches in the hopper. I can tell you the ETA clones are super easy to work on, but nowadays it's almost always cheaper to buy a new movement than fix an old one....unless it's something super easy. I have some spare parts on hand, and I've offered several times to help others here (no bites yet...but I don't blame them, I am not listed on this forum as a certified repair person). I'm sure you would have better luck sticking with those on RWI.

WTF? Five months? There is zero excuse for that especially if they are a shop that advertises doing repairs. I probably have 10 watches on my workbench, and with a fully career going I still manage to get people their stuff out within a day or two.

welp thats just asking for trouble...

one day people may actually use the forum as its intended and only go with trusted dealers and repairers.

Let me know how that phone call goes. "Officer, i sent my counterfeit watch to a guy to repair and I think he ripped me off."
