Waited a long time but it was worth it...PAM027

After selling the Fiddy I bought from SEAD, I started out looking for a PAM104 Noob.
Unfortunately the ones that passed by during the last few months were all in CONUS and therefore out of reach.
I had even started to despair a bit about ever being able to obtain one in the EU.

And then, all of a sudden and out of the blue, there was this PAM027 from Davidsen with double AR from Uwe and the Swiss Eta 2892-2a/Soprod 9040 being offered for sale.
I was smitten with it at first sight.....

And after looking at this who would not be?

So at first I still tried to focus on a PAM104 and forget about this one since it was in another price range.
But after a while I caught myself clicking on the ad time and time again.
After 3 days I could no longer control myself and sent the first PM to the seller with whom I had done business before.
It took some time and deliberation on my side and some hard bargaining on the sellers side, but today we finally reached a mutual agreement on the price and I made the payment.
So, I am now the proud owner to be of this gorgeous DSN PAM027 (a-version) and couldn't be more happy!

PS: And a big thank you to Ale7575 and his fantastic "Reference PAM REVIEW-GUIDE"
Without it I would not have found the useful info on this rep which made me decide to go for it!

Holy smokes! Not familiar with that one. Gorgeous! Congratulations! Does the power reserve work?

It has a Soprod PR module so the power reserve certainly works. :)

@Debre, nice pickup.

As was already stated...yes, the power reserve works!
And that I picked up something special (which I already knew....kind of) is becoming more and more clear to me looking at the responses from you guys! ;)
Thanks for the compliments on my purchase.

Well, the Pam027 that I bought a week ago, arrived today almost at the same time as a nice box (that I bought separately) to keep it in. :cheer:
I did not think that the doorbell would ring twice in one day, let alone in half an hour, but it did and since I also had to ship the BBK I sold yesterday, I had my hands full unpacking and packing. :D
Therefore I did not have much time to make some decent pics but I still managed to shoot some in about ten minutes time.
Hope you all like them....

I did put my gen croc strap on it straight away, because I had that visioned right after I bought the watch and I must say that I like it just fine.
Since this 44mm is very similar to the gen Pam104 that I sold in the beginning of this year (after owning and wearing it for the most part of 7 years) it feels like I'm 'back home' again.
This may be a rep, but with an original ETA/Soprod Ebauche inside it is very near to the gen as far as I'm concerned. ;)

I'm very, very happy with this gorgeous watch and would like to thank Z3K0 again for selling me this beauty! (You must have regrets already....)
Also, I'd like to thank Debellum for the ultra fast shipping with UPS to get me the Panerai box in such a short time!
And finally I would like to thank RWI for being the best rep community on the net! (Donation is on its way...;) )

Debre - I know how you feel, having just picked up my prized DSN 028B. it's a close cousin to your 027. Something special about having such an unusual movement. I'll be enjoying this one for years to come. Now to find a nice presentation box like yours...
