Thanks for the comparison. I see that the DWs teeth are different. VS3235 takes 3235 style DW but VR3235 takes 3135/3136 style DW

Hi
did you serviced vr3235 any debris ,dry?
thanks
The datewheel teeth positions are different between 3135/6 (mid number) and 3235 (bottom number). So no 3135/6 DW will work on a VR3235.
Yeah curious about gen 3235 on vr3235, cause it looks like they printed the vr3235 DW higher meaning teeth are at the bottom of the numbers just like gen/VSF 3235.
IF yes that would be good and possible to upgrade to gen DWs if not then we are stuck with custom VR DWs which are not great. (Look at that dw texture on the VR)
oascom Thanks for the comparison. The finish is clearly superior on the VSF.
Possible theory as to why the VS3235 is no longer made is that Rolex claims many new patents on that movement. It appears they were successful in getting the factory to cease making them, so a hybrid 3135/3235 was born, since the 3135 is out of patent.
Have you ever attempted a gen balance install on a VR?
And I wonder why the manufacturer doesn't make a free sprung balance.
Looks great! very detailed photos, I would like to know can VR take gen parts? Basically, what I would like to do is take VR plate and replace everything else to GEN, I know it sounds absurd but yeah I would like to give it a go. Is it possible?
