Hi all!

Three months ago, I bought a Rolex Submariner 116610LN from VSF.

In the last few days, I notice that, even if I wind it more than 50 times, it doesn't last for more than 24 hours, even Ι wear it.

Also, when I first bought it, after 30 times of winding, the crown would "pop out" and get harder (so I would stop winding), now when winding I don't notice this phenomenon (it doesn't pop out and harden).

Do you think some damage has been caused, which also causes it to not last more than a day?

What do you consider to be the ideal winding? Although I have researched, I see that opinions are divided.

As I read that the VS3135 movement lasts over 2 days, is there a possibility that I have not received the correct watch? How could I find out?

The watch was purchased from a trusted dealer.

Thanks for your help!

chinese clone movements can be hit and miss in their assembly. The TD can't know which one. Sometimes even the factory does not know.

This seems like a dirty (caked oil) mainspring.

If you love the watch, get the movement serviced. VS3135 is a great movement. It's worth it.
Thanks for the answer!

How likely is it to get more damage if I use it, until I find someone here to repair it?

IF that's the mainspring, then it's alright. If anything, usage might loosen it up.

Don't worry, every rep needs a service eventually. Yours will come a bit earlier, and then you are fine for years

I wind my watches until the slightest resistance. But I rotate through my collection, I dont care about the power reserve. I enjoy setting and winding them.

So, a common misconception about winding watches. You wind it to get it going, not to fully wind it for the day.

50 winds is a bit excessive. You should do half of that to let the automatic works wind the rest. One of the reasons Seiko didn't do manual wind for a while.

I always do about 25-30 and the rest is charged on the wrist wear.

But I do agree with @Karbon74. A service does great things to the VS movements!

I will try to find someone here in Greece to service it, although I find it a bit difficult.

Is there a service you trust that I could send it by post?

Thanks all!

VSF116610LN should last around two days, and should wind smoothly without a limit. It should not get hard.
I think something in the movement got loose or broke. Best get it serviced if the watch is otherwise good.
