Hey y'all. bought a used Vsf Sub from M2M and when getting it in hand there are some points of "concern", trying to use these words lightly.
the flap bit of the clasp wings freely with resistance, wanted to know if this is normal/ can I do anything about it.
Second "issue" is the SEL is kinda...ish... sorta has a lot of play. Would getting new spins bars resolve this issue.
thx in advance

Let's keep in mind that rep parts will come out in batches of different tolerances. Therefore I'd say it's normal...

Spacing between the EL and the horns looks alright on the photo... But that's not what you mean if I understand correctly. The spring bars from the factory should be thick enough, but you can always try thicker ones if you think the current ones allow for too much play.

Regarding the SEL, I'm able to push it down from the case and hear it rub against the case. wanted to know if I could get it tighter to the case.
Good to note this is only really a problem on one of the end links.

My only thought is why would you even worry about this?

I've seen gens with this issue because the pin is worn out after a few months of of wear. It's nothing you will ever notice and is not a rep or gen issue just a general way the clasp is designed.

You can replace the whole clasp for $80 but like...... why.... in 5 months it will be like that again.
