So I found the polished sections of the VSF seamaster bracelet to be an instant tell.

They are raised and humped for want of a better description. Forming a ridge rather than a flat polished surface like the gen.

So to improve this, I started with a flat emery board for nails and gently removed some of the material on the raised polished sections of the end link.

After this I used several grades of fine sandpaper to polish the sanded section back up and gave the entire end link a good polish with a cape cod.

I then used modellers masking tape to section off the polished from the brushed areas and re brushed with a medium grit Garryflex block.

This is the end result.

Just need to finish the brushed section with a 600 grit brushing to get a close match to the rest of the bracelet.

That is awesome! I wondered if it would be easy to do that since I've actually been searching for gen end links (but couldn't find any). I have a spare bracelet with me that I'll try it on first. What grade emory did you use first to take some material off?

No sure actually! It was in my wife’s make up bag! It was gray and I’d say probably around 120/200. It genuinely doesn’t take much to take the material away so be careful.

I have a spare set of end links that I'll try it on. If it works, I'll do it on the other two bracelets as well. I'll try and tape it up such that only the shiny parts are exposed and try and get some material off.
