Omega surfs on its vintage Seamaster success and Bond series or not, one has to admit those are terribly sexy, if ever the neo vintage type of watches hits your soft spot.

I always liked the Spectre, VSF did a crazy good job with it. So when I saw the new Summer Blue Seamaster 300 reference 234.30.41.21.03.002 being repped I could’nt help but getting it right away. As this type of watches are mainly for a seasonal wear, meaning not much owners will buy the gen as a daily beater, seeing it in the wild is quite unlikely. This allowing us to focus on the rep.
I received it from @sead1999 at Supermirrors last week, a solid and quick deal as usual.
So let’s go for a quick insight on the VSF « Summer Blue » Seamaster 300.

Dial / Hands :
That is a strong point for me here. Pictures don’t do it justice but the glittery effect on it is really stunning. The blue tone is a bit more silvery on the gen, but the shading from deep to light blue is stunning and is enhanced by the pearly/shiny treatment. The difference of tone may show here facing Omega's gen pics, but other sources show a less obvious difference between gen and rep. Good job by VSF.

The cutouts of the sandwich dial are on point, although one could still criticize they’re a tad fatter on the numbers. The lume looks on point too, quite strong although short lasting on my model.

The main flaw IMO is the letterings : silvery on the gen vs blue on the rep. But regarding the overall quality of that dial and the rarity of the gen, no one will care and that dial is gorgeous.

The hands are decent enough. The arrow types are well dealt with by VSF, and lume is close to the gen. They do the job as expected.

Caseback :
Oh well, can we really expect a 1/1 figurative engravement on a rep ? No. We have here a chinese Poseidon, it may walk up mount Olympus but will probably be taken aside by ancient god's customs half the way 😅. Still, it's good enough for a quick glance and the guilloché style of the background is quite decent.

Case / Insert / Crown :
I’m not familiar with the gen Seamaster’s cases but as it was on the regular Spectre, this one looks quite good to me. The polished/brushed parts are well finished, no sharp edges whatsoever.

The insert numbers are the proper shape. The blue tone looks ok to me but once again, I compare pictures of gen and reps with a totally different shooting condition and color treatment. Still, the blue looks quite good compared to a few videos I’ve seen of it, and looks very vibrant in real life.

We can see the absence of the gen typical light carving of the numbers on the insert (same as with the Planet Oceans replicas). Once again, it's hard to see it on the wrist so who cares...

The crown screws in good, the Omega symbol is as it should. I didn’t greased nor water tested the watch, I’ll do it as soon as I can but I don't doubt it can take a quick dive with proper care for the gaskets.

Crystal :
Hard to compare the level of distortion of the rep domed crystal vs the gen, both have some. Still, the VSF looks good, clear and proportioned anyway. I think without having both in hands this matter can't be really discussed.

Bracelet :
It was delivered with the steel bracelet. The brush/polished combo works good visually. I regret the clasp has too sharp edges, but overall the bracelet is good enough for its duty. It feels solid, sounds good, and the clasp sliding adjustment work perfectly.

Movement :
Closed caseback so the look of it is'nt priority. The clone 8912 seems to work good and keep good time on mine. Did'nt really check the power reserve but I will get back with the info.

Fellow members, this is a very pleasant rep by VSF again. The different blue tones are very elegant, matches the vintage style of the case perfectly and the overall feeling of the watch is on the high side of actual productions. Very good rep IMO.

Now onto more pics, feel free to ask if you want to see some specific angles.

Marvellous review, and good to hear the clasp works as per gen.

Sharp edge wise, does it feel like it’s a case of putting a little genuine wear on the watch to smooth it out?

The beveled and polished areas are very good. It's both sides of the clasp and the sides underneath that may need a bit of smoothing.
The clasp works perfectly though.

Thanks for the review - Always helpful seeing the dial in natural light as opposed to studio light, so different!

Your outdoors shots show, that the dial appears in a much lighter blue in these conditions - very much like the gen.
I will pick mine up at the post office tonight, so I am very excited today (even though I am not going to be able to enjoy it in sunshine today). QC shots of the dial were pretty horrible.

Thanks for posting your review!

a couple questions:

1. how is the quality of the bracelet? As I’m sure you know the Spectre V2 bracelet is hot garbage, I’m hoping VSF has done a better job sourcing a better bracelet!
2. does it have the same 21mm as the Spectre?

Bracelet feels even slightly worse than on my Spectre v2. There was no improvement.

21mm, yes. It's basically a Spectre bracelet with polished outer links.

So the VSF says Swiss Made on the bottom but the gen does not have it? That seems pretty obvious. I think the black is the same way.

Actually, looking at the pictures from trustytime, it doesn't show Swiss Made on either the black or summer blue.

Really wish they would come out with the navy blue version. Even cheap homage brands like Pagani has the navy blue version.

The gen has it as well, you just can not see it on most photos because of the distortion caused by the crystal. It's the same with the rep, though. On most photos I have taken so far, you can only see some spots or nothing at all.

Well then the text on the rep must be bigger because I have seen it on every rep picture (except on trustytime) and I have never ever seen it on the gen. I trust you that it is there, but there has to be a discrepancy somewhere.
