VSF Plans to rep 1119 - so "they" say!

Andrew mentioned that VSF has plans to rep the 1119.

Fibratech. I wonder how long until we start seeing the two tone models made of fibra/Carbotech.

But finally we get another larger (larger than the 904) anthricite dial model. Hopefully.

I'm hopeful but I'll believe it when I see it. Fibratech is different from Carbotech, my worry is that the factory will just use a different shade of Carbotech to mimic Fibratech instead of actually replicating the material (as it is made of basalt fibers, something more exotic than Carbotech).

We have a few people around here who have some mysterious connections to the factories and knowledge of what they're doing. Maybe they have some details they can share that may confirm or deny.

Id love to see it and the factory.... Let's just say vsf does an outstanding job with these watches. Enough that I am continually shocked by detail and quality and know not to eliminate the possibility of vsf surprising me again. But I hear ya. I'm tempering my expectations. Just passing on something Andrew posted in a thread (or the trusty time rwi handle).

Okay I've looked around and basalt fiber composite isn't something new, it's just Panerai naming something exotic so it appears new when it's not (similar to carbotech which is actually used in other applications, I've personally seen the actual material prior to it being fabricated into our desired shape for our intended application). It's used in the aerospace and automotive industries which make it sound specialized but it's been also used in camera tripods so that means it's available commercially, making the prospect of VSF's case factory actually using a basalt fiber composite more likely. Anyway, let's cross our collective fingers.

Fibratech is kewl. Hoping they’ll make these soon. Both have closed case backs:

1662 bead blasted Titanium case, Carbotech bezel, Anthracite dial.

1441 Ceramica in slimmer case.

They get FibraTech or whatever its called right/close then I'd love to see 1663 and although not FibraTech, the 1662, they both need to be in the stable!

FibraTech would be so great!!! I am really excited for it as I don’t like the CarboTech that much. Hope this will be released soon!
