I recently purchased a PAN968 and it's beautiful, it keeps good time and looks great on my wrist. Only issue I've had so far is the crown guard came loose, but I typically use low strength locktite on all screws anyway, so that was a quick fix.

However, I'm finding mixed info on if it should have a titanium or a bronze buckle. Ebay has OEM bronze buckle for ~650, I may splurge if needed, but does anyone make a bronze rep version with the proper engraving? Or a source for a more affordable OEM buckle?

If I were you I wouldn’t bother with an OEM buckle and spend that $650 on a couple of custom strap by some high end strap makers.

Yea it’s a good point and one I’m considering. But I’m still unclear which buckle this watch should come with or when/why they switched from brass to Ti.

It’s easy to get fixated on the little details. I would refrain from spending that much on a buckle, especially if you ever decide to sell it. I doubt you get many people willing to pay a premium because of it.

I think a lot of time the thing that gets us hooked on watchs, cars, guns, etc are the little details. I tend to fixate of them.

That is a sweet buckle, I’m going to order one.

I need to find a rubber strap. The leather is beautiful, but I am constantly washing my hands at work and it gets wet. I want to wear it more so I get some nice patina.

Does anyone know when they switched from bronze to Ti? Was it because it was turning peoples skin green?? I’m still searching for this answer.
