Hi Leute!
Habe beim Ryan zwei tolle Uhren bestellt, Omega no Time To Die und die Seamaster Spectre. beide von VSF, tolle Arbeit!
Please try to shake the watch 50 times and see if the movement starts working. It should last anywhere from 15 to 40 mins because some rotors like the one in the A2824 movement are not heavy so they might not be charged with a lot of power by shaking 50 times (that's why it can vary from movement to movement).
All mechanical movements (even the genuine watch brands such as AP, Omega, and Rolex etc.) also teach their customers to hand wind the movement first to gain the full power but not to shake the watch to gain full power, please have in mind that the rotor only assists in the movement to save power. It's not the only way to save power.
If the movement has a power reserve issue, then no matter how many times you hand wind the movement, the movement will not work. Never set a routine to shake the watch to gain power because that's not the correct method. Imagine the rotor turns one time (360 degrees) is just equal to hand wind the movement like 1 to 5 degree only. It means that just one turn of the crown for hand winding would be equal to an average of 60-72 shakes of the watch as an “alternative” method.
How to check the automatic movement is functional?
You can shake the watch 50 times when the movement is COMPLETELY stopped, and see does it work after shaking the watch, it means the automatic function does not have a problem if it start to run.
Please keep in mind always to hand wind the movement if the watch has no power since the rotor just assists to gaining extra power while you wearing it.
Gruß
Sepp
