Hello my lovely people!

Today I'm back with the Seamaster 300 GEN and VSF comparison.

VSF Seamaster 300 ceramic bezel + ceramic dial are the same as the GEN, and they are all made of ceramic materials. Its appearance and marker filling are almost the same as the GEN. There is only 12 o'clock luminous filling that is not enough.

The thickness of the laser lines patterns in the ceramic dial are little different, but the bottom of the patterns are just very disalike. The GEN has grid black and gray patterns while VSF patterns are matte and whiteish. It is a very obvious difference when you see them close up.

As for the 12 o'clock marker, the GEN have rounded corners, and the VSF has barely polished the marker. Other markers are about the same.

The case and strap are all made perfectly.

VSF uses the a8800 movement, which is not a 1:1 movement. Rather, it is a movement with a decorative piece. This is the only downside to me. There is currently no 8800 1:1 movement in the market, otherwise it would be the best and perfect seamaster.

Without further ado, let's take a look at this.

And that's all of it
I wil see you guys next time~

Bye
CTime

I really enjoy this kind of comparative threads, thanks!
But maybe Rolex section is not the most appropriate one 😆😅
@Raddave could you, please, move it to Omega section? Thanks!

Is this a new version? I bought one earlier in the year and the dial markers are yellowish. Is it the same in indoor (non bright) environments?

I recently received this watch, purchased from Ctime, the serial number is the same as this review, it is the V2 of VSF, and you can notice how the movement has been improved with the addition of the pin on the racket, not present in the previous version, am I wrong?
The accuracy is really excellent for this movement, I'm now at +1s/d wearing it all the time, night and day
The only flaw is the crown which is really difficult to screw on

They started putting that screw on vsf at some point last year. When i first bought the blue version in may 2022 it was listed as v2 because it had a black balance wheel.

The crown guards (or lack of) kills the vsf seamasters for me.
I read more about this problem but I didn't understand what the lack would be, could you explain it to me better? thanks

I've read a couple times people are winding a quarter counterclockwise until you can feel it "locking in" before pushing in the crown. This seems to delay the crown breaking.

I would also be curious to learn more about the "lack of crown guards" and how this plays out. The risk seems to be screwing in the crown too tight? If so, how would I know when to stop?

Here how I understand how the counter-clock winding works to go easy on the crown:
