The extent of my interaction with this watch was sizing it by adjusting the clasp on the rubber and I’ve worn it for perhaps 5 days in my home office environment, so it has assuredly been babied. It came off the winder a couple of days ago for lack of use, as I decided to move it onward to one of you lucky, dear readers.
I have moved in “London watch wanker” circles for a solid period of time. I never came across a gen or a rep (something I could surmise based on the person talking to me, not spectacular vision or knowledge of reps - I was often told by even their own family members that some very well to do London money men wore reps) of this model in my time in London so this is a rather safe bet in not being called out if that’s a concern for you.
This is, being frank, a very nice piece, with a well finished Ti case and a very well done clasp which locks up solidly like the gen equivalent Omega clasp with which I’m familiar. VSF have also done solid work with that intricate dial, and this is a particularly nice example - judge for yourself. The A8393 clone movement is visible through the display case back and oozes refinement - and even if it weren’t a fantastic aesthetic homage, most people don’t stare at the back of their watches as much as the front.
I love this watch conceptually and intellectually - the world time function is superbly helpful for working across time zones. It’s a very good size lug wise and has an appropriate to its tone lift off the wrist.
The dial is very legible indeed despite the dark tones. However, I chose the wrong colour for my work purposes, so it gets inadequate time on my wrist at work as it doesn’t match my general work tones and colours nearly as well as does stainless steel. I’ll likely be replacing it with a stainless steel version just as soon as I settle on dial colour.
Do us both the courtesy of not sending me offers lower than the advertised price - I’m in no rush to sell, and should I be minded to drop the price, I’ll ask the mods to do so, rather than haggle via PM.
As ever, I choose my buyer, and “I’ll take it” via PM or in this thread does not assure you shall get it.
For sale to UK buyers only at this time. Pay today and it could be on your wrist on Saturday morning - Royal Mail Special Delivery is, as always, included in my selling price.
I paid £328 posted, yours for £290 posted in the UK.
Enough copy - onward to the pictures.
