Hey everyone, been a long-time lurker on the site. Looking to purchase a new Sub soon & looking for the no date version. I'm aware of the differences between the two gen models 124060 & 114060 physically, bezel size, etc. I was just curious if anyone has any recommendations for the VSF versions? Is one better than the other or are they about the exact same? Thanks in advance!

Them 124060 has a VS3235 mech as there is no VS3230 and thus has a ghost date position.

Thanks for the response, so just to be clear then, the 114060 is a better choice because of the movement?

I would suggest you buy the variant you like.

The 11x subs are considered more accurate. But the 12x are also pretty close to gen.

The movement thing, if it bothers you to have a ghost date position, ok. For me it doesn't matter.

Good information to know, thank you. I guess I would be happy with either variant, which is why I asked. The 40/41mm difference is negligible. I'm also not sure if the ghost date would even bother me either. I guess that is why I mainly posted, I'd be happy with either, just wanted to make sure one wasn't considered better than the other on the rep side.

I heard that vsf recently released no date 124060 models with vs3230 movements. I won’t know for certain until I get it in my hands and open it up. Unless customs gets it I’ll have it in the next couple of weeks and let you folks know.
I live in a small town and getting watches repaired is difficult. Because of this I’ve decided to buy watches from clean with 2836 movements. BP also has watches with 2836 movements but clean are the same quality as there 3235 watches just with 2836 movements. Clean are definitely worth the extra coin. The reason for me choosing watches with 2836 movements is because every watchsmith is familiar with those movements. You can buy a generic replacement movement for $50 or a genuine Swiss movement for $225 when it does finally break. I’m no watchmaker but I believe even I can swap out a broken movement. Other people in similar situations might wanna consider doing something like this too
