The Seamaster Diver 300M has long been one of VSF’s most iconic and best-selling releases. As the model that first put VSF on the map, it’s been a consistent favorite among collectors for years.

Now in 2025, VSF has finally upgraded this classic with their newly developed 8800 Super Clone movement, bringing it even closer to the genuine Omega in both performance and appearance.

Let’s take a detailed look at how this latest version stacks up against the GEN. Feel free to drop your thoughts or ask if you want comparison photos or movement shots — happy to share more!

Great pics, thank you! This looks like a super rep!

One small but quite disappointing flaw - can't VSF take another 30 seconds and align the bezel "teeth" properly with the pearl and the other insert markers? This is not a look most of us will appreciate once seen, and many of us will feel compelled to correct it. The correction is an enormous hassle or expense compared to the minimal effort it would take to avoid it.

What is the point of investing money in producing a clone movement if they can’t even ‘Clone’ stubby the crown guards, I would rather the fixed that a new movement.

I've heard it before and I get it that the CGs aren't just like the gen but I don't think it's terrible. Check out the difference on the "best" factory rep 16710 vs the gen.

The final results are impressive, VSF really nailed the Seamaster, really wonderful !

Anyway, a 'flaw' that is common in a lot of Reps (except Rolex, Tudor, PAM maybe ) is the engravings on the back and on the clasp, i am always able to spot the rep in this way...

VSF did a really good engraving on the back side, but on the clasp...

Do you think that we can "hide" second regulator arm under the fake one? Or they are side to side, same height?

Neither of the regulator arms you see are fake.

They are both fully funcioning as per any other VSF movement clone. VSF has yet to rep a free-sprung balance that requires micro-stella screws on the balance wheel to regulate.

The regulator arm with the gold stud rivets is the rate (fast or slow) regulator, the other regulator arm is the mobile stud carrier to regulate beat error.

with this new version vsf solved the crown problem?
Unless they had to completely remake the case to fit the new movement, I would not think so.

Has anyone reviewed or serviced the movement already? Can't be so difficult as the Gen is pretty close to an 2892 movement

Pretty sure these haven't hit many customer hands yet, they haven't been available for long.

I was wondering before why the 8500 was "copied" earlier than the 8800, as it a completely new designed movement. Oposite to the 8800, which uses a lot of design and components from the swatch family movements..

See it this way:

Copy the 8500 -> you get two or three Omega Families repped (Aqua Terra, Planet Ocean): two markets of customers
Copy the 8800 -> You get 1 Omega family repped (Seamaster): One market of customers.

The 8500 had quite the successful run. VSF got a good successful run with their ETA based Seamasters, too.

Planet Oceans and Aqua Terras have slowed down in their demand, so now they can focus on the current money maker: the SMP.

This is why they immediately introduced it on the NTTD first, which I believe is their best seller.

Yeah, you're right. The 8500 was is used for the AquaTerras, SMPOs 40mm+, the DeVille and the Constellation incl. their GMTs. The good thing is Omega only changes the colors like Rolex, so easy Copy ;). 8800 would be the small ATs, the small SMPOs and of course the SM300s. I was always wondering why min. three factorys can compete the SM300 market... seems to be a real topseller ..

Want me to be honest? Omega Seamaster 300 is a top seller but still is a MAGNITUDE fraction less than Rolex. For every 1 Omega Seamaster I see on QC there is 10-15 Rolexes. Sad but true. The slice of the pie is still much smaller...

And Seamaster is dominated by VS, noone can challenge their brand name.... so no incentive... to fight for essentially a small fraction of rep market...

Omega.... second hand Seamaster is 3-3.5k and most can walk into AD and buy one with no games... well within reach of most Western people... so you cannot really push for higher and higher end replica like Rolex which has both high secondary market prices and difficulty buying from AD...
