That´s a good move. For models with a closed caseback it´s absolutely ok to have a movement without expensive decoration.

VSF has always been SBF, I think they test things through SBF to not "taint" the VS brand. When these 4801s they were under SBF.

Ah, cool - that’s what I thought. Glad to see them expand the options with this movement. The SBF 126500 I bought last summer is a superb replica. I don’t see the need to spend more on a (probably less reliable) true clone.
