I've been after a 126519 on Oysterflex for a while. I imagine this would be a good weighted option without the metal bracelet.

Is the VSF decent compared to the Clean Daytonas? I have 3 x Cleans and am pretty happy with them. But it would be nice to have a weighted version of a gold model.

@trustytime The ad implies that VSF has moved beyond "electroplating" for this release. Do you know if they're using nitride PVD, such as titanium or zirconium?

If so, it's been a long time coming and would be a very welcome evolution.

I posted about it a while back here. It's something I'm very familiar with because of its application elsewhere outside of reps.

If the details such as rehaut and dog head marking and gold markings are okay, and it can be replated, then it's a good one.

Otherwise without real photos and macros of the watch this is all mumbo jumbo marketing. All factories in their releases promise no gold color fading and 99% accuracy and all that crap lol

I'm currently looking at building a 125619 daytona with clean base with RBF dial & deep crystal. I have 2 modders that are telling me to stick with clean's base and another saying he can do a custom tungsten steel case. I wish there were more updates on how other people's tungsten steel case are holding up in terms of plating. None the less, if VSF's looks great then its a game changer for sure.

thanks bro.. here's something interesting.. PVD Gold.. as a technology.. I think has been around forever now. In fact.. one of my prized reps is a Hublot Big Bang.. a specific 17+ year old rep that people on reddit even accused me of posting a gen because well.. the gold has never tarnished nor faded. How is it possible after 17+ years and a rep?!

the answer is PVD Gold my memory is hazy but that term has stuck around with me since forever and the proof is immaculate.. i do wonder why it's not used as often since it's been around forever and the quality is proof. perhaps price. perhaps difficulty. or another technical reason but i did read your post and one term stuck with me.. the "pvd gold" which is what the hublot big bang back then has used. thank you for an informative post btw
