VSF 1033 vs. Gen

Was in the Panerai boutique this weekend & thought I’d post a quick shot of the 1033.

Stole the VSF pic from a recent WTS thread.

The VS dial is lacking a bit of the color saturation & sunburst of the gen dial & the GMT hand may be a tiny bit shorter but the rest looks pretty damn spot on.

Might have to be my next purchase!

I think the difference of the sunburst is not so noticeable as the pics are showing. Anyway, more pics of the rep from happy owners will be welcome

Probably the 2 photos have a significant difference in the tone of the lighting, usually the difference in the hue of the lume is much more noticeable, and this always seemed to me a brighter distinguishing feature than the texture and shade of the dial disk, which always has an error, but at the same time is more dynamic in practice .
And of course, do not forget that this is a model with a transparent caseback.

Thanks for comparing. Looking at the pictures it seems also that the second hand is longer than gen and I don’t think this is cause by the angle. For me it also looks like Swiss made is slightly fatter. However nice watch anyway. Who the hell would notice this in real life (especially w/o gen next to it).

The biggest flaw in my opinion is inaccurate blue hue of the dial. Gen blue sunburst of 1033 is amazing. Unfortunately, vsf rep doesn’t come close.
