VR3235 - Interest check

Hey guys, just wanted to check with the members here on any interest in this movement? As you might know, I sell VR movements on this forum and response has been good from the members.

The VS3235 is unobtainable, its made by the Liaoning Factory and I got no contacts there.
This VR3235 is the next best thing, made by a different factory, but its the same factory as the VR3135 and VR3186 makers. Everything is the same as VS3235 except the regulating pins being on the other side of the balance.

It has been ordered in large amounts by some of the "smaller" makers like VRF, GMF and even ARF might be using this. But the recents raids have halted the progress of these factories. I may be able to get some of this movement if anyone needs them for franken projects or anything like that. Picures in the next post.

Also, I believe there are 2 versions of 3235 with different date seating plates - one for the DJ with a wider DW and one for subs with a narrower one. Hopefully they'll both be avialable.

This is an interesting development. I can definitely use one immediately and can see a real benefit to them as the VS3235's have some issues with winding and with their balances.

This new VR "3235" is definitely a hybrid movement - it retains many of the same parts as a VR3135 which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean it is not gen-spec like the VS3235. Some quick observations I have made:

The dial side of the movement is very similar to the VR3135, sharing the same calendar parts, the date finger, and the date corrector (5 point star).

There are no dial feet holes in the VR3235, so it looks made to accept a gen-spec (and VSF) 126610 dial and not a 3135 dial.

This VR3235 is not made for the 126334, which has a larger diameter date indicator seating and larger diameter dial and datewheel

Both VR3235 versions will take a VS3235 DW which is gen-spec so both VR3235 versions should take a gen 3235 DW. The slightly different tooth shape on the VR3235 DW does not seem to matter since its teeth are in the same place at the bottom of the numbers.

Learned the hardway. for the date disc it wont PROPERLY. The date will not align up properly on the window. Look at that "teeth" of the datewheel and where they are centered for the numbers. The VR movement is at the base of the number where VS and Gen date disc is at the center.

Does it mean it will take a gen 3135 or are you saying a DWO is the only option for a centered date?

It will but won’t be “centered”. Take a look at the pics above where the teeth are aligned to the corresponding numbers

The whole advantage of the 3235 is the extreme power reserve in my eyes. It's nice but not gen interchangeable either so its basically just a 3135 that fits where a 3235 fits
