VR 3135 conversion to 3155

I have been wondering about the possibility of converting a 3135 to a 3155 hybrid for a day date build. Any watchmakers or skilled folks that can sound off on that?

It’s the same mainplate, but you need quite a few parts that differ from the 3135 on the dial side of the movement.
Could be done but will need some gen parts.

Yes. Lots. You could use a VS3135 as the base.

So true. I actually wear it more than my gen 16233. I love these older 1601x models. I actually have a spare case for a 16 and 15 four digit in the box waiting for builds. Thanks again my friend. Always on the look out for your builds.

Bp 11823x models work for me, except I am not sure if they are discontinued and caseback modification is needed

Interesting! I have a bpf 128239, but since they use the same 2836 maybe it will work. I messaged that eBay seller that you linked me to in my thread, he unfortunately wasn’t able to help.
