Vintagizing Cheap Rep Panerai Straps

That looks great!! I'm surprised that I haven't seen this discussed more often. The end result certainly looks better than the original cheap plasticky looking rep strap. I have already ordered a Panatime Loco Horse for my incoming 111H, but I will certainly have to try this on the rep strap (the Panatime strap will be here days before the watch...I will be left staring wontingly at the strap for a time ).

Also, mine is coming in black, so I wonder what the end result will be? Will the leather be the same color underneath or are they "base-dyed" the color of the sheathing paint? Can't wait! :mrgreen:

With my cheap cam... Sorry about the quality of the pics...

my results were far different, but I still like it... The strap feels very vintage, hahahahahahaha...

Edit: A few day has past and the strap has turn more dark... just a little darker... I still dig the look...
