Bought this nice Omega SS mesh from Ryan. Got it today.
Paired it with my vintage SM300. It does look and feel really smooth on the wrist, doesn't it?

That looks pretty damn good mrjohan, these are the updated version? Not sure about the dials but I'm liking the case/bezel.

Good looking watch. I've always liked the 300's at one time. I was going to get a gen of that model that you are wearing.

Thanks!

This is the "old" version. Bought it from Silix early 2012.

I've modded the bezel insert. Colorized the numbers / markers and clear coated it.

not bad, not bad at all!!!

Are you planning on making the seconds hand white by painting it or getting a gen/nos hand from cousins/ofrei?

Thanks for the kind words!

The bezel mod made the watch a big favour.

Thought about the second hand. Maybe paint it white in the future.

care to share your method/paint choice and clear coat material??

I think I'd like to do this to mine too, but would like to do it properly, like yours.

Sure!

I removed the insert and gave it a mild rub with a green Scotch Brite scrub pad to make it a little less black and prepare for the yellow colour.
Removed the plexi before removing the insert. A lot easier that way.

I used a permanent marker with thin tip in the colour Burt Orange. Painted the numbers and markers. They came out a little more orange than I wanted, so I used the Scotch Brite pad to fade the colour down. It worked great and turned out great. Yellow with a hint of orange.

I sprayed a few layers of high gloss clear coat.

When dry, I glued it back to the bezel.
