Hello,

Here is my homage 6152/1 Radiomir Build. Since I am a big fan of Panerai, their rich history, their stylish and unique Crown Guard, I decided to make my version of the watch when they first introduced Crown Guard, in 1955.

I am using Cortebert 616 movement from an old, 1950s, Cortebert pocket watch I got on ebay. Movement was serviced in 2018 and the parts were in very good condition. My watchmaker serviced the movement again, just to make sure.

I used Nightwatch 6152 case with “BREV ITAL” Crown Guard engravings. I did not do any filings or reshaping the case like in old days. I left it as it is. Stem tube is soldered to the case and rubber O-Ring installed under OPB display caseback for water resistance purposes. T25 Plexi was installed.

Radiomir dial is assembled as a sandwich 3 piece with super green lume, and I used with 616 tall pinion hands to complete the watch.

As for the strap, I chose SLM015 Mario Arillo L’Invita Legione Strap with 2tones Bronze Knife-Edge buckle which really fits this watch (strap will be interchangeable with other straps in the near future). :D

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and thanks for watching... I will be back with more projects. :)

Nice work! Are the hour and minute hands different colors, or does it just seem that way? The crystal and display movement look great too, nice combo.

Thank you...

The hour and minute hands are the same color, its sunlight issue. :)

Kind of. I went little bit with upper hand prices, as most of my parts came from a place where they make parts like in old days. I just wanted to be, in my mind, as close as to the original parts. :)

When it comes to filing/shaving the case or do any modification to the case, I did not do any of that. I just got parts, and my friend, watchmaker, helped me put it all together.
