Hello everyone,

Does anyone know where I can buy TALL TUBE Blue Heated hands (picture below) in Europe? I searched around and I found that Athaya Vintage Parts website has it. But, I assume they are based in the USA. If so, shipping from the USA is no go at the moment. I need someone who is in Europe.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Athaya is in Asia, Singapore I think.
His hands are not heat blued, they are anodized. It makes a difference.
heat blued hands are available from river (seller tps-tempus on ebay) or from nightwatch (vintagewatchparts.co.uk) but they dont have tall tube.

Thank you very much for your help.

I do have heated blue hands (I got from nightwatch) but I am having issue with my 616 hour/minute pinion. It sits low and when I install 2mm dial I don’t have any clearance to install blue hands. Only other option I have is to make my dial thinner, which I am not comfortable doing it.
Or,
Installing tall tubes on hands? I really have no slightest idea how to do it or what parts to get and what technique is used to solder tubes to the hands.

@killowattore - I saw a post you did 3646 homage watch and can you tell me how you dealt with this issue (if you had any). I am stuck. Really would love to make 3646 homage for my collection.

Thank you in advance.

In general you have to source a tall hour wheel + canon pinion set, that's how I did back then.
Nexkyzips had these sets but he's out of the game atm. I think River had them too.
Another option you could try, but no guarantee it will work, is to harvest the tube from a normal tall tube set and install it on the blued hand.

Hello again,
I am trying to figure out what to use for making tall tubes for my 3646 heated blue hands.

I searched online and I found on homage forum that maybe aircraft model tubes might work (depends on measurements of these tubes).

Of course, these model tubes need to be cut and filed for hour and minute hands, respectively, and then soft soldered to the hands. Blue color of the hands is affected at 290-300C and soft soldering can be done at 180-190C, so its possible to solder without changing the color of the hands.

Does anyone have any other idea what else can be used for making tall tubes? (just exploring different option). :)
