Vintage daytonas are very difficult to build. Most of the cases have terrible shape. Pushers and hands are a big tell on most reps. If you really want a gen like piece you should be aware to pay 3k up.
There are a lot of threads about these builds, some from establihed builders too.
To read them will give you an overview.
Good luck

If you want to build a nice Daytona that can be weared like a gen.. you have to double your budget.
Let me explain.. you can build a low cost daytona with approx 1200/1500€.. no matter what kind of dial or rework… just a good vietnam dial and good case reshape.
The other option that born when you start to study in deep the daytona world.. is to try to build the best possible replica.. is a long work of study and part research.. the best is start to find the best dial but in this case the prices are from 1500 up to 2000€ only for the dial.. after that the case with the best possible shape, serial and. reference number made with the right pantograph font style (1000/1300 €), after you will start to look for the right pushers and hands.. you will find tons of dial and cases… the 95% of them are all wrong.
When you will start to study the dials you will focus on the TSwissT positioning that is for the 99% wrong… after you will see that the Rolex wringing are wrong… the 99% of the dials are a mix of right things that together make a wrong dial 😅

In all of this I didn’t mention the movement..

If you want a low cost build.. 1500€ are enough.. otherwise prepare yourself to spend 4.5/5k euro but for sure you will have another type of watch.
