Vintage Blancpain homage with “customizable logo”

Vintage Blancpain Homage
Saw this on eBay.
Very similar to the Helson Skindiver homage to the vintage Aqualung.
Sapphire xtal just like the Helson Skindiver too.
Seiko NH35 movement.

Very cheap for what you get too.

Yes, I did ask if they could put the Blancpain Aqualung 1000 feet etc. markings on it. Sterile caseback but who cares?

$25 extra for the custom logo if possible.

Unfortunately both eBay and AliExpress sellers will not do trademarked logos.

However, they could easily do a RWI or other logo.

I opted for a mermaid silhouette, will post pics when it arrives, all in all $100 plus shipping/tax.

Yes, it's a cheap homage watch, powered by a bullet-proof Seiko movement. You could have the dial customized with a Blancpain logo, and then the cheap homage becomes a not-quiet-as-cheap replica.

If it's the vintage Blancpain design you're after, I have seen worse. All you need to do is add 50 years of wear and tear to it. If you can't do this on your own, a qualified modder can do it for you. Then the not-quiet-as-cheap replica becomes a quiet expensive not so correct replica.

See, that's the thing with vintage watches; they are a totally different category. If you wear a 50 year-old tool watch that looks like it was made last Sunday, the bubble bursts.

First one from AliExpress arrived.
Second one from eBay next week, this one has a smaller mermaid than the eBay one.

Solid watch, solid weight, nice detail.

Strap meh so put on a Zuludiver 20mm sailcloth.

Not as refined or pretty as my Helson Skindiver but hey 1/6 the price.

Survived the shower, haven’t had the chance to test underwater yet.

Critique - no AR on sapphire so high glare but hey for $100 shipped with a custom logo, a good deal.
