Yes the size... i wonder what the gen size is. I know there are several versions of the gen vintage 300, date and no date, numeral '12' and triangle 12 marker. Not all versions are the same size. Any expert who knows the answer?

Dammit this thread has given me crazy pants, I have been researching this all damn DAY....seems that the SM300 has 3 versions, the BIG V @12 and the flat V @ 12....and small V.
Years ranging from 1960ish to mid 1970's.....here is a link about it

I've been lusting for a Seamaster 300 lately but I want a real one even if it's a new one and built from NOS parts. The cartel rep just doesn't look right to me - the case isn't slender and sculpted like the gen and bezel isn't tall enough.
