VIET and CARTEL

I see a lot of posts about "Viet" watch parts being used in mods and was wondering who, what , and how are these parts found and obtained?

Also- I see the term "Cartel" being thrown around- could someone enlighten me?

There are various vendors that sell viet parts, some are on here some are not, and the modders have access to parts sources as well.

Cartel is a long story, but basically a couple of dealers got into cahoots with a couple of factories and tried to price fix some models many years ago. They made a relatively inexpensive but decent submariner case, so you'll hear about cases being referred to as cartel cases too. It's basically older versions of JKF and BP.
