Hi guys, looking to grab a PO, had one back in the day I sold and well, I feel the call again. I have been following developments in the PO's for a while with the ceramic and titanium releases.

Cant seem to find a definite in the threads of what is recommended. The miyota looks the part due to ts special decorations, but is low beat. The eta is high beat but movement doesn't look as real.
Which movement is more reliable? Im expecting the miyota to be more so since the asian eta's have been known to be a bit dirty.

What are your opinions and experiences?

I've had a Noob CrPO with Asian ETA for close to a year now and just received an Aqua Terra with the Miyota. Obviously I've not had the watch long enough to comment on reliability, but the Miyota hand-winds smoother, has better rotor action, and a more solid feel when setting the date (the ETA sometimes requires a couple extra turns of the crown to get the date to click over when setting the watch). The ETA definitely has a smoother sweep, but that doesn't bother me too much. I wear my Seiko SKX007 more often than the rest, so I'm used to seeing a lower beat rate.

yeah i dont really care too much about beat rate, reliability is much more important. Sounds like the miyota might be the way to go for me

Miyota would be my vote for reliability, and it winds real nice too. I have one in my Co-Axial.

The stuttering of the Miyota 8215 and non hacking function will start to annoy you after a while. Miyota 9015 is what the makers should be using.

9015 is one of the better movements in rep watches, in the same league as Swiss movements used in rep watches

I have a miyota 8215 in my v6f crpo and it is one of the most accurate movements i have. Very solid in operation and adjusting and as far as the beat lets not forget that both movements are incorrect in terms of bph

I admit also that the 8215 is very accurate and time keeping is great. Its the stutter and non hack thats the issue

I haven't had too many miyotas but I've owned plenty of ETAs and clones. Even the clones can run extremely accurate once regulated properly. I just saw a thread on m2m where a clone was running +/- 0 seconds in three positions.

The Miyota stuttering is a bit annoying, but it's very smooth and keeps good time.

Another annoying thing is shake the watch. The seconds hand will completely stop for a second or two. That is also annoying
