Vaccum'd Panerai 009B with DSN PVD case

Case, Crystal, & Caseback (OP 6500 - incorrect) from Davidsen

Lume & Cannon pin fix and assembly by Vaccum

I particularly did not like the dial on the Pre-A Pam 009, so I decided to do a B-series project with "L" dial.
there are cosmetic flaws:

1. There should be no A/R, but it's got a nice A/R from DSN
2. Caseback - it should be OP6519 with "B" in the serial number out of 1500 units. Mine says 6500.

& the movement is Asian (regulated by Vaccum), but hidden inside the caseback ^^

I cannot believe he lumed this with his bare hands... as most of you know, luming sausage dial requires mad skills. couldn't be happier.

Certainly another great PVD. PVD is what really stops my heart. Can't look for long time. It hurts.

HUGE difference. Standard rep PVD is Shiny and short of dark-brown-tone Black. DSN's case is Matte and black. I think DSN's case is a bit too black (dark), real thing is like pencil color. so I took the case and capecod-ed it 3-4 times - it's getting lighter in color and look much better.

Make sure you get sausage dial with closed SS caseback.

Woot? The lever pin on the gen is not PVD coated?

Lever pin is PVD coated on b-series, according to what I read.

However on A-series and prior, the pin should not be coated... should just be silver color.

But then you know, there are so many inconsitencies among Pam, even for the same model.

The one pictured looks like it's not coated, but I think it's due to wear and tear. Case looks pretty beat up overall.
