I mean sorta, but not really. The brushing is notably better. As for the polished edges, they are beveled/chamfered slightly better. It's more the brushing. The bracelet looks a wee bit shinier than the v7f, and the polished links on them look better polished. Are the finishings on totally different levels?
Can you take a profile comparison pic? Wondering if the bezel thickness is accurate.
Besides that not really then. It's hard to notice unless side by side. V7f did a great job on the polished accents (bracelet edges and side of case edge)Yes brushing is obviously better but that was expected.
Even then I would have said the V7f has the better finish of the brushing. It's hard to notice unless side by side.
That indeed would be helpful. The differences are there, but it´s not like the rep is completely screwed.Could take more pictures of the difference of bezel screws for see it.
Oh you're a hero. I wanted to pull the trigger on this aqua dial but after seeing a side by side of the gen vs v7f black dial and how off the color is, i was scared. Feel good and pumped to order now, thank you!
there was a post on reptime in reddit comparing the two dials a couple days ago side by side ( https://www.reddit.com/r/RepTime/comments/1g10bs6 )What is "off" on the color of the black version?
Gen and rep clasps are near identical. The bracelets are similar, but the gen has a more pronounced taper. This comparison is amazing. I've been wanting to go to the IWC boutique in Chicago but it's a little over an hour away and by the time I'm free and reach there, they'd close.
How does the gen clasp feel compared to the V7F? I read in IWC forums that the clasp is the weak link in the gen watch as well. Just wondering how much better it feels than the rep. My clasp hasn't broken *touchwood* but I'm worried it won't last long like the rest of the watch will.
