look what I discovered can be done easily. Send to a re-lumer and you've got a v1 (minus datewheel). You're welcome.

I think no one ever wanted to risk destroying a 450 dollar watch to find out. It can be done simply. They're glued on or taped on and easily can have lume removed and re-added as correct color.

Mine doesn't look pretty so don't try this at home. A modder shouldn't have issues though

don't know I'd roll the dice on that... adding trianglular or rectangular shaped lume, or filling metal indices is one thing, accurately redoing flat numbers is another.
It may fix the ever so slightly inaccurate color, but what about the thickness of the font ?
V1 lume was slightly too green, both in daylight and lights off...V2 was whiter, maybe too white ? but I never been able to find a side by side gen versus V1 vs V2 that shows which of the two is closer.

not a quality gen vs V1 lume shot...
gen on right v on left

bit better:
this time, confusing, gen on left, v1 on right

daylight:
gen left, v1 on right

what's wrong with the date on V2 ?

No Chinese maker uses superluminova so the color will always be off when lit up. The Blancpains I think use c3. The Chinese equivalent is slightly greener both on the watch and when lit up.

Thanks for the side by side comparison but personaly the lume difference is minimal for me, interesting though.
The date wheel might be a issue.
I am looking for a V1 Blue are there any in the dealers?

No need to buy a v1 blue. The only difference between v1 and v2 for blue and for gold is the dw and that is very minimal. The font color on insert is the same on RG and blue v1 as it is on SS v2. The SS v1 is the special one. The rest are all the same.

I forgot to add also the font is a little larger on the 5 on v2 insert also.

IMG_2669.JPG IMG_2662.JPG The BPFF blue is probably the whitest of the inserts. While least gen it is actually really nice looking in contrast with the blue. Most accurate isn't actually v1 but probably Flyback or nonradiation first batch. V1 is too green. None are that close on actual lume color when dark though but they are torches!

IMG_2667.JPG The v1 SS has the best font size as you can see. With NR and original FB second. The blue is more like the v2 with the larger font that is noticeable (to Blancpain fans not to anyone else). Ignore my ff RG. It's under construction :)

I just ordered V2 Blue from Toro, after much deliberating I decided I just could not tell the difference between versions, even dealers photos under different light confused me.
Thanks for info.

Hey @JackJ1980 - Can't find much on the flyback chrono. love the look and am partial to chronos but can you tell us how it stacks against the V1/V2?
I imagine nothing glaringly obvious but curious to get your overall thoughts. Thanks

There's two Flyback versions. Original has incorrect datewheel color (white) but correct color insert font and brighter lume. The second version is black dw (correct) and same color as v2 ff on insert font. Slightly weaker lume also. Best version is a swap of v1 bezel onto v2 :)
