I just recently bought a Cartel 6263 Paul Newman and it worked normally for about 5 days. But today, I realized the watch had ran out of power(?) and I hand wound it. The small seconds at 9 ran for about 5 seconds until it stopped entirely.

Does anyone know the probable cause of this death? I've heard that the ST-19 movements are reliable, but this got me worried.

By the way, the movement starts running if the case is lightly tapped. It does die after about 5 seconds again.

The movement is not automatic. It will need to be wound to work.

It normally IS a very reliable movement, its biggest problem is overwinding and breaking the click spring. So don't wind it anymore! There are just way too many things that can cause a watch to stop running to diagnose on that little bit of info. Its probably something simple, but if you don't have someone to fix it locally you may have to bite the bullet and send that back. A new movement for that is about $120 so its worth it.

Are parts for the ST-19 easy to acquire? I have a local watchsmith that could probably fix it, but I am unsure about the parts. The local place where I bought it told me that since it has a 3-month warranty, they can have it fixed for me.

Not easy for me. But you are half a world away. Just have them fix it.

many things could be happening, something broken or a very simple/easy to fix balance wheel position due movement, take it to the local watchsmith tho.
