i saw this some time back. I would be up the seller's ass. There has to have been something that tripped off the dogs for this to take place. My guess is that there was a "questionable" substance on the seller's end that was in contact with this box.

Yepp, a serious messed up box.
Old owner probably had lots of drugs stashed in it
...Or the guy down at the custom been having a fight with his girlfriend/wife about all the reps he got at home that she threw away, so he took out his frustration on that poor box since it reminded him of what he lost!

I have a good friend who works for CBP. They don't just tear through things for sh-ts and giggles. Frankly, I'm happy they are doing this. Makes me feel safe to know that they are at least trying to do their best.

But wouldn´t it be in place if they didn´t find anything to just send a note to the poor guy that they would refund him for destroying it instead of just pack it up and ship it?
This time it was a box, but imagine the horror if you imported a car and got it delivered in this condition...
